Toldi's Canadian Specialties & pictures

Toldi has won VSO Specialty 2nd year in the row making him 2 x BISS Am/Can CH Bajnok Dances with Falcons, FDJ, JH. This VSO Specialty was held in conjunction with Caledon Kennel Club shows and Toldi has won 4 x BOB that weekend. He has followed this by getting Group 4th in the last show of the year, Credit Valley Kennel Club in December that has been previously held at the Sky Dome in Toronto. This year it has been in Brampton Ontario and in spite of the change in venue, this show was attended by all top dogs in Canada. We consider it an honor for Toldi to place 4th in such a strong group placing in front of  many multiple BIS champions! He has also won BOB every day. We were very happy to see Vizsla show entries increase in the fall and we were happy to see many of our Vizsla friends at these shows.

Toldi is presently Number 1 Vizsla in Canada (as August/2000 CKC points count). Corey, our baby (well not any more, but will always be  "our baby") has also done well. He has accumulated 8 of his 10 needed points for his Championship title in only two weekends of shows. We are very proud of Bajnok Grand National a.k.a. Corey My Heart and you can go and check his web site by clicking on this Corey's link.

Toldi has received Best Canadian Bred and the only Award of Merrit from all breed judge Thora Brown at his first Vizsla Canada Specialty, September 2000in Cornwall. We were very happy with his recognition awards, because this was the highest entry for a Canadian Specialty ever and was attended by Vizslas from Canada and the USA.

Toldi, together with Furie (CH Bajnok Furj Kutato)  have also helped their mom Dash, CH Flockati's Dash of Paprika, CDX, FD, TT,CGC win the Brood Bitch class. Following is the group picture:

November/1999 - Winner of Vizsla Society of Ontario Specialty

First picture shows Internationally renowned Judge and Vizsla Breeder, Jackie Perkins from England (pictured on the left) as she is presenting Toldi with his BISS win. Frank and Martha Lacko are holding beautiful pictures - gift from the judge Jackie Perkins of Vizsla study and print of the wolf with Vizsla vignette by James Majury, artist and fellow Vizsla Society of Ontario member. (It looks great framed and hanging in our library). Francois-R. Bernier, his breeder and co-owner has handled Toldi in his first BISS win on Saturday, November 27, 1999. Thank you Jackie Perkins for picking Toldi for her BOB winner in this special show, his first Canadian Specialty! What a trill for us and Francois to see this happy go lucky, goofy, lovable, funny and high spirited dog be picked for BOB in this show ring under such a knowledgeable judge.

Second picture is Judge Dr. Castro from Mexico, presenting Toldi with his BOB win in Caledon All breed Championship show following day, November 28th. (Pictured here with Francois, Toldi was handled to his win by Jo-Ann Griffith who was nowhere to be found at the picture taking time, - sorry Jo-Ann!)
