Week 4: Munchkins are lively and noisy. They eat
well and we are happy to report that their digestion works
great and there are solid, dark leftovers on the right side
of the whelp box that we have covered with the puppy pads.
They immediately started to climb over the partition with
the cutouts to the other side to go to the bathroom. Some
time, they still decide to go on the bed side, but very
rarely. They eat their own food now, it is puppy dry
food (NUTRO NATURAL CHOICE ULTRA LARGE PUPPY), food
you will be feeding them when they come home with you. For
now, we put this into the blender with goats milk esbilac
powder (which is mothers milk supplement), Wild Salmon oil
for Omega 3 and some live culture yogurt. By the time
puppies will go home with you, their food will be moistened,
but not blended. Of course they have teeth now! We have put
a banana box into the whelp box today, made some cut outs on
the sides and they immediately went to explore, same as the
tunnel on the other side and they are now sleeping in the
box as well as the tunnel. Large box with cut outs is a
great toy idea for your puppy, if you don't mind paper
shreds.
Noises: We started with the radio, now clicker,
whistle and the pop gun. We have vacuumed in the room and
around them and they are getting used to even the loudest
noises. They play with each other, fight and bite each
other, they play with the Big Frog and we put some puppy
nylabones into the whelp box also. They wag their tails when
we talk to them and they have already tried to climb out of
the other end, so the sides are up now. They are very agile
and alert, they are so sweet!
