Here is the continuation of picture story of Toldin's Second Edition, "steel" litter .  They are gaining weight and are starting to be adventurous. We have opened up the second section with another separator with cut outs and Mr. Green and Miss Purple were the first ones to climb over. All the others followed soon to play in the new place! We introduced toys into the box and they have been trying to grab them and Mr. Blue barked at them and wagged his tail. They react to noises, squeaky toys gets their attention, as does my voice, dogs barking.. and of course Vivaldi. They are moving around much more, walking and exploring the box, starting to play with one another and climbing all over themselves and their mother. We play with them 15 min. three times a day, handle them and talk to them. They also react to hand movement and some of them lick my chin when I am holding them. Their weight is good, check out the new weigh in today. We also did the new portraits with their eyes open.. well almost... *smile*.

the whelp box space expansion & toys

We have changed the partition in the box to the cut out and puppies are already climbing to the other side. None of them have problems with getting to the other side (and they are only 19 days old!) and they are also recognizing toys and trying to play with them. It is amazing to me, how fast they catch on to where the food is, toys, especially the hanging yellow/black striped "tinkerbell" and adapting to more space. We also have their new portraits, just go down on the page to get to those.

It is getting crowded in here!

This shows puppies moved to the other side over the partition.

I swear I didn't pick them up and put them there, they got there on their own!

Steel has decided to try it out for feeding also.

Mr. Green enjoying his food....

Miss Yellow has fallen asleep on top of everyone

Miss Orange has had enough...

Miss White and Miss Pink resting...

Miss Orange is hogging all the toys....

Awake and looking at you kid!

When are awake, they can really move around fast! Zipping on that slippery surface of the blanket is not easy, but they are doing a great job of it. They like to pile on top of each other and they are just starting to bite each other ears, lick each other's faces and bark at each other.

Mr. Green has been looking at the "tinker bell" toy, but now is going after the ball

Some of us want to sleep, you know!

Mr. Blue is going exploring now

What is that thing?

I prefer to chew on mommy's ear .... and going to sleep now...

Portraits at day 19 - looking at you kid..

Let me sleep please... Miss Yellow

Ok, Ok, here's looking at you...

Now, can I go back to sleep?

I am alert! Miss Orange

Yes! I want to see everythig!

Flash didn't go off! But have to post this one," what a face"!

Mr. Green looks bored with all the weighing and portraiture stuff!

I want to go back to my brothers and sisters,... NOW!

Miss Purple

You wanna see my mouth? No teeth yet...

I think that my ribbon looks disgusting, can't you change it allready?

Miss White, all bright eye and cheerier than most..

What a ceiling! Never knew it was there...

Miss White is very inquisitive.

Mr. Red is regular social butterfly.. he loves to communicate

He poses for the camera.. all relaxed and nonchalant

now this side....

Introducing....... Miss Pink!

Miss Pink's side potrait

Mr Blue sure is handsome.... and very vocal!

That is NOT a scream, it is a yawn!

Mr. Blue going to sleep...

So there you have it, close ups of puppies at almost 3 weeks old. Soon they will start to eat puppy food mixed with bitches milk and that is lots of fun, they manage to get it all over themselves and their den! That will happen on Saturday or Sunday, you have something to look forward to.
