Big move to the whelping box in the evening. Pictures above. Why do we call it a whelp box when Steel gives birth outside of it? Because expression "litter box" is already taken! :) Dana came in the evening to check Steel and the puppies. Steel was not sure what the heck she wants crawling to the whelp box, she nipped her in the butt. It was funny how she was trying to warn her not to mess around with her puppies. She was watching her all the time as she handled the puppies. Here are all the "first vet check" pictures. On Monday, we are going to see Dana at the clinic, we are going for dew claws and the tail docking. Has to be done on day 2 or 3. So look at them with long tails, on Monday they will be a proper Vizsla length.






Few pictures from Day 2, I did get some sleep, so tomorrow will be more of them up on page 3 including the vet visit. We takes them back again at 4 weeks to get their first shot, deworm them and insert the microchip.
