TOLDIN'S OWN LITTER
PAGE 8 - 6 WEEKS OLD

We have a wiener dog!

6 weeks - Nov 2 - 9

Puppies at the 6 weeks are a riot! They communicate constantly, some of them quite loudly with us and they keep running to see us when come close to the box. They wake up when I am adding newspaper (I need newspaper! I am running short!) , And they come running to play and it is so funny, because I have to start rubbing their bellies and roll them out of the way just to put fresh newspaper down. They got banana box and they love it! They climb it, sleep in it, chew on it and fall into it. They climb on top and try to get out of the box. They still enjoy their "tunnel" and like to sleep in it, especially Mr. Black and Mr. Blue. As you can see from the picture on the left, it makes for funny moments. They also run through it and they are so proud when they do. They are now on Wysong Growth kibble, moistened with warm water and Balkan style active culture yogurt. They love the yogurt - I tried adding cottage cheese instead and they did not like that! Some people say to shoot a popgun before giving them their food and since I don't have one, I am popping bubble wrap! LOL I know some people will laugh, but it makes a great popping noise and they keep running to eat when they hear it. Aside from that, they all come to "puppy, puppy" call.

They are going for an outing on Tuesday; they will get their first shot, microchip implanted and a tattoo. Not looking forward to that, although I know, this has to be done. We have new weights on their chart, go and check it out. They all gained over 2 lbs this week.

THE 6 th WEEK VISIT: STEPHANIE & ALEX

Hudson's parents

Ray was also here to see the puppies last week, but we didn't take any pictures (those batteries). Ray is Aran's daddy. We will make up for it in couple of weeks.

Frank and Chante live in North Carolina, so we will see them in couple of weeks when they will come to pick up their boy - they are Rogue's parents.

It will be hard to let our boys go in couple of weeks, but it will be made easier knowing they will be part of such great families and live with wonderful, caring people.

Recommended reading: "Bones would rain from the Sky" by Suzanne Clothier!!! It is an amazing  book and they have it at Chapters-Indigo on line. Worth the time and the price!

Ouote from the book:

"To travel in the company of animals is to walk with angels, guides, guardians, jesters, shadows and mirrors. I cannot imagine how it is to travel bereft of such excellent companions. In my journey, seeking to know animals more fully, wandering in their foreign lands, struggling for fluency in these other tongues, I found much  more than just the animals themselves. As all travelers do, no matter how far they may go, no matter how exotic the terrain or bizarre the cultures, I discovered myself. "
