Ian, Angie, Kelsey and Naomi write in part: The Purple girl has become "Maximum Velocity" (Maxie for short). I must say that she certainly lives up to her name! Maxie has LOTS of energy, but we have a big yard and 4 eager folks, so it's probably a good thing - a less energetic dog might be overwhelmed by all the attention. We zoom her around the yard whenever she's feeling perky, and the rest of the time she is a very calm VERY obedient little girl. I have to admit that I was expecting the worst with a puppy, and we just haven't seen it. She loves to chew of course, but she's doing really well at figuring out what she's allowed to have (her toys) and what she isn't (everything else!). She listens well and is already pretty consistent with sit, come and down, and she's got a very impressive 'stay' for a pup her age. Of course this is all at home, with very few distractions, so we'll see how it goes when we hit puppy school. Mind you that's all nothing when compared to her impromptu performance of 'Moonlight Sonata' (see photo). Such talent! I guess you can tell that we are thrilled - we just love her to bits.

There I am on the upper right hand corner!

...and here I am again on the right

Yes, I will become more cultured and refined...

...Does playing a piano count? You did say Moonlight Sonata, didn't you? I will play some Bartok for your later.

... If I look at them, I will have to point them and then you will have to shoot them... so we'll leave them alone, shall we?
