Heart was bred to
JOURNEY CH Stonepointe Final Voyage JH on the
4th of July! Litter was born on September 9, 2006.

Heart is getting
ready to whelp on Friday night assisted by Diane and Martha

Do not leave me here alone! Come now, it's coming!
First puppy
pictures - Day 1 - Saturday, Sept 9: |

Mr. Black |
 |

and here is Mr. Red and Miss Yellow |

Mr. Black likes to wander around |
 |
 |

Notice Ms Pink and Mr. Green still wet. Vizsla puppies look like
aliens when they are born, but quickly become too cute to part
with. They are precious. |

Happy mom with all of her 7 pups. They sure like to move around! |

The family was moved into the whelp box proper. Clean towels and
lots more room to roam. |

Very relaxed Heart and pups in the whelp box |

Surprise! Little break to cuddle the older pups, Phoenix and
Fame.
Here is Diane with Phoenix. |

Fame and Phoenix look a bit bored by the whole whelping thing! |

This page contains pre-delivery and the Day 1 pictures. We have
more pictures from Jen's visit (Journey's mom) on Sunday and
their first stimulation exercises on Wednesday. We have to say
that they all found the way out of the pie plate very fast and
also that they don't care for the banana. Orange peel is next,
then cat hair (we will see what they think of those!) They had
their tails and dew claws done by Dr Holly on Monday evening.
Everyone went through it with flying colors. It was hard to keep
them in the basket, since they thought that the blankets are the
climbing ropes and kept climbing up and up to the highest level
and trying to get out of basket. They move around in the whelp
box and it looks like several of them are attempting steps
already. They are very strong and very vocal. You guys have
something to look forward to! Very active pups! That is so good!
They are steadily gaining weight and I see them nursing very
often. Heart is such a good mom! Next installment of pictures on
whenever I can grab some time to update. |
