It was
love at first site between Corey and us at the Caledon KC show in
November 1999. Sadly, his original owner passed away when Corey was six
months old and he needed a new home. Francois Bernier (Corey's
breeder) has brought Corey to us that Christmas of
'99 and tied a big red bow around his neck. What a present! Corey
is a late bloomer. He has a regal head and bearing, his head drawing is
in our logo graphic. He takes his time to accomplish things, but then he
does, he does them perfectly. He has finished his Can CH in very few
shows, won Award of Merit at VSO Specialty in 2001 and this year
finished his FDJ title in 3 straight passes, earning High Score in Trial
and tying with Steel. He took a while to warm up to the field work, but
now he excels in it - just ask his trainer, John Reid! Corey is a
life-saver, he saved our cat Nikita from strangulation few days after he
got here and he is a sweet and gentle dog. He has grown up to be the
most excellent companion and friend, someone we can trust to protect and
love us and make us proud in anything he decides to do - now or in the
future - his US CH, going for his Field dog titles or starting agility
this fall.
